The National Association of Energy Service Companies Forms Women’s Network Committee to Empower and Advocate for Women in ESCO Industry

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 20th, 2023 – The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) announces the formation of a Women’s Network Committee, an initiative aimed at engaging, empowering, and advocating for women in the energy service company (ESCO) industry. This committee will serve as a platform for women to network, learn, and collaborate to advance their careers and promote diversity within the ESCO industry.

“The women’s network provides a supportive and empowering environment for members to share experiences and learn from each other. It offers a wide range of networking opportunities, such as quarterly networking events, enabling members to connect and build meaningful relationships,” said NAESCO Executive Director Timothy Unruh.

The group held its first event, a Women’s Walk, at the 2023 Annual R3 Conference & Expo in New Orleans, which brought together NAESCO member attendees interested in supporting the group and its initiatives.

The NAESCO Board of Directors appointed Leslie Pope of Acuity Brands as Chair of the Committee. “I am so proud of the work we are doing at NAESCO, and I applaud the NAESCO Leadership and Executive Committee for giving me the opportunity to expand our reach within the ESCO Community. While this is a women-centric committee, the goal of this inclusive group is for us to support each other, grow diversity within our membership, and create opportunities for networking and collaboration within all member organizations,” said Pope.
