ALBUQUERQUE — February 3, 2020 — Yearout Energy, an Energy Services Company (ESCO) headquartered in New Mexico, was honored by PNM, the New Mexico electrical utility, with the “Most Overall Savings” award for 2020.
The award was presented to Yearout Energy at the 2020 Program Kick-Off and Trade Ally Awards on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at The Event Center at Sandia Golf Club. Danny Alkon, project development engineer, and Tara Trafton, project manager, accepted the award for Yearout Energy.
The award is given to the company which has made the biggest impact on energy savings within the PNM service area in the State of New Mexico for the previous year. To earn the award, Yearout Energy worked with organizations across the state to save 3.27 GWh of energy in 2019, which had an environmental impact of preventing 1,773 metric tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, or the equivalent of powering 480 homes for the year.
“We are very pleased to have received this award,” said Alkon. “It’s a testament to the work we have put in to help our clients and the state overall be more energy efficient. We look forward to 2020 and hope to defend our title and save even more this year!”
