The Maine-Endwell Central School District in New York completed a solar energy project that will generate 100% of the district’s electricity. The district will see savings immediately as well. The system was fully activated by NYSEG on March 23. It is located on district-owned property adjacent to Maine Memorial Elementary School, Route 26, Maine. The project is currently the largest owned by a school district in New York State, to reach 100% solar offset.
