WESTBOROUGH, Mass., March 25, 2024 — NORESCO, a leading provider of comprehensive energy solutions, is serving as Dominion Energy South Carolina’s prime subcontractor partner to deliver a $27,467,138 firm-fixed-price task order for upgrades at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort in South Carolina. Structured through a utility energy service contract (UESC), the project uses innovative funding to provide operational resiliency, energy reduction and infrastructure improvement solutions that contribute to mission assurance. NORESCO is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
As the serving utility, Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) has committed to design and construct electrical distribution upgrades and lighting energy conservation measures for Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina. In turn, DESC has subcontracted services to NORESCO to benefit from its expertise serving federal agencies.
“DESC is excited to have NORESCO on our team to leverage its extensive experience providing energy projects for Department of Defense customers,“ said Fred Parry, Manager, Federal Energy Solutions. “We look forward to getting construction underway.”
“NORESCO is honored to continue our partnership with Dominion Energy to help streamline delivery of energy management services to MCAS Beaufort and other Department of Defense installations,” said Doug Sattler, Senior Vice President, Federal, NORESCO.
With expected completion by February 2026, the UESC project will support MCAS Beaufort’s mission with a hardened electrical distribution system designed to withstand, respond to, and recover rapidly from electrical utility disruptions. The lighting energy conservation measures will improve light quality and decrease electric consumption and demand.
