Danville Independent Schools (KY) completes ESPC with Ascendant Facility Partners, qualifies for ITC Elective Pay

According to a press release published by Danville Independent Schools, the district completed a series of energy efficiency and facility modernization projects beginning in summer 2025 through an energy savings performance contract with Ascendant Facility Partners. The work included boiler and cooling tower replacements, HVAC upgrades, LED lighting improvements, insulation enhancements, destratification fans, and the installation of solar PV across multiple district facilities, all completed on time and on budget during scheduled school breaks. The projects are already generating measurable energy savings and are expected to qualify for approximately $720,000 in IRS Direct Pay tax credit incentives, enabling the district to reinvest its bonding capacity into long-needed renovations at John W. Bate Middle School while advancing long-term facility planning and energy cost reduction goals.
