Sep. 25—TURBOTVILLE — A representative from McClure Company, of Harrisburg, presented several solar array options to Warrior Run School District board of directors at Monday night’s meeting.

Alyssa Wigenfield, an account executive with McClure said her company had experience with “more than 150 energy projects across the state. Two of those are the Lycoming County and Mifflin County school districts.”

The district has an opportunity to buy the solar system outright. The purchase agreement would be either 5 or 30 years. Her sales pitch included energy savings to the district.

There would be an opportunity to apply for tax credits and there are also grants available, Wigenfield said.

The idea she proposed would place the array at the middle school high school complex, on the roof or ground level.

The cost to the district would be approximately $3.4-$3.8 million for construction and installation. McClure would subcontract the installation work.

The other option, she said, would be to lease the system. The maximum lease contract would be for 30 years.
